These are my favorite Christmas movies and specials, roughly in the order that I prefer to see them during the holiday season. This has nothing to do with their overall quality as films, because otherwise Die Hard would be #1. Feel free to disagree:

DigitalDreamDoor's top 100 list includes dozens of movies that I haven't seen, and the Wikipedia list separates them into useful categories (and lists a lot more). I still need to see Bad Santa, The Polar Express, and Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause; and I need to re-watch the classics that I don't remember well enough to include here (you know which ones, because they're not on my list).

Also, if anyone tries to tell you that I don't like Christmas Vacation, they just don't know what "it's not my favorite" means. :)

I cannot believe my best friend got married Saturday. It was the most beautiful wedding I've ever been to, and the only one I've ever cried at. It wasn't the ceremony, it wasn't the first dance, it wasn't even when she danced with her father. I hugged Fred bye and told him to take care of my girl. When I hugged Alex, the tears poured out. I've never felt so happy for another person. She looked so beautiful and happy. Not even having a piece of her hair burnt off from a curling iron or running a little late to the church for pictures made a dent in how perfect the day was. Everything was so perfect and beautiful, and I know a large part of that is because she deserves it. A beautiful day for one of the most beautiful people I've ever known. I wish there were more days in the world for people like that.

I think someone has been trying to hack my email... naughty naughty... santa wont bring you gifts if you keep it up.

If anyone that I know in Athens has knowledge of whether or not any shops will be open the day after Christmas? My girl and I are thinking of driving up there the day after Xmas and maybe do a little shopping. If anyone knows and can pass me the info that would be great. So, my book will be out soon. I got my proof and must look it over. So excited.
